i dont know where to start... i cant play the game. i m using the patchv2, and the 3.51 mod. i m getting all kinds of errors ranging from

WARNING: Can not load lightmaps

ALL the errors resilt mainly in pc shutdown and soometimes, after installing the patch and the mod, being kicked out. i ve spent hours reading forums but it was a dead end.

The version 3.51 isn't the latest mod from GrayFiend. Try it again with v3.52 and it should be fine... If it isn't, you should post your error log in the following forum: http://www.ufo-scene.com/plugins/forum/forum_viewforum.php?14

If you use Bman's Mod you have to be sure, that you are using v4.07 - many people believe, that v4.04 is the latest version, NO it isn't!

Bman stopped the developement of his Mod with v4.04, a guy called Coasty made a fix compilation (no, not only he fixed all those things) up to version 4.07. If you want to use the latest Bman's Mod, you find all you need here:

There are still bugs in v4.07, because nobody actually wanted to continue the mod. The reason is simple: GF-UNIMOD. Bman itself said, that everybody who would like to help, should help GrayFiend, because it's Bman based and has even more features.

You don't need to apply the official patches 1 or 2 if you use GF-UNIMOD, simply install the game and do every step as described on the installation page of the homepage from above.

NB: If you use Vista, run the every file with admin rights.

Hi guys,just signed up for an account and am currently enjoying UFOET after about 2 weeks playing.I played unmodded for a few days and decided I wanted a couple of mods as it was evident the game was a bit easy,among a few other issues.I got the frankenmod for a start and am really enjoying the enhancements it brings,however,I have noticed over the last 2 or 3 missions I have done I am unable to use the up or down buttons on the GUI,they appear greyed out,where as I could before.Other than that all the other tweaks work fine.

Any help on this please?

Just experienced another bug,or rather my first crash with the game,and this seems a consistent crash too.Just about to embark on my first terror mission,moved my troops outside the craft ready for battle,pressed end turn and the loading progress bar gets stuck at about 80% . I reloaded,and it got stuck again,and again for a 3rd time.

No option it seems but to abandon the mission,or even the game,and go back to playing stock version,with patches 1 and 2
Just for the record I have the frankenmod enabled.

Really dont want to have to resort to this,any help on this? Sad

Hi, i have exactly the same bug. i cannot use the up and down buttom, next to the crouch/stand button in tactical mode. Does anyhone know how to fix that, because it's pretty anoying. i use bmans mod 4,07 fixed by coasty with patch #2.

the game crashes when i sell the original detection system building from the first base and then try to build the detection system in another square on the same base ( i want to do that because i want to build an hangar where the original detection system is)

also the game crashes if i try to sell a building that is not complete in a secondary base

steam (gold) version of the game
win xp sp 3 (32 bits)
intel core 2 duo
nvidia geforce 9800 GT

Got same issue when sell building.
Game will crash when click to anything except
Top menu (Globe)
(Sell only 1 if click other it will crash)

So workaround for me now if i sell building i will
exit to globe view and return to base again for build new or sell one.

Vista 32 bit
Intel Core(TM) 2 Duo
Nvidia Graphic card Geforce 9300M GS

Another one my Kaspersky Tell me UFO_ET.EXE is keylogger
But I can allow it to play well
I don't mind this but sell building and can't not do anything is major bug

(Mouse cannot move in first enter game menu but alt + tab switch to other windows will make mouse can move normally)

How can i do?

I purchased the Gold Version from Steam. I cannot start the game. It always crashes. (Vista x64 and Win7 x64)
DXDiag shows no DirectX Problems. All drivers are uptodate.
Reinstalling/Restarting in different combinations did not work.
CPU: AMD 965 3,4GHz Quadcore
GC: ATI HD5870
4GB Ram

Got the exact same issue with the Steam Gold Version, does anyone know if a fix is on the way for this problem?.

Also i find that in UFO:E my mouse stutters, hangs, and such.. anyone else have that problem, and anyone know of a fix?

I bought the Gold version off Steam because it seemed like a great game to play on my netbook, however I've come across many issues which seem to point to the Intel GMA x3150. I'm on

So, I've been searching for the answer to my problems and it would appear that the Intel GMA 3150 doesn't SUPPORT vertex haders however has the hardware capacity to do so. As I understand it, Intel never got around to enabling vertex shaders for the 3150. Shame as I was really looking forward to playing this game on my netbook. Oh well, guess I'll just have to use my desktop for it D:

Just to clarify, this is not a problem of the game, but rather a driver issue from Intel. If anyone has information on how to emulate Vertex shaders, it'd be appreciated if you could PM me with a link/guide.
